Hey there, clever post title about smoothies! I swore I'd never, but today I bit the (magic) bullet and made myself a green drink. Recipe courtesy of my lovely friend, Devon.
- 1/2 Banana
- Handful of spinach
- 1/3 of a large cucumber
- 10-12 mint leaves
- 1/3 a tall can of coconut water.
First things first, I need to keep all parts in the fridge so that this thing isn't a room temp, frothy mess, but other than that - delish and simple way to start the day. I'm getting more and more interested in an alkaline diet as a method to combat inflammation, so expect lots of new things in that department... until October hits and it's just pumpkin bread-a-rama through Christmas.
This is a great smoothie base, and I'll be experimenting with additions going forward. And now... the coffee.
